Give a gourd a makeover during the Schaumburg Park District's Family Pumpkin Carving event. Family Pumpkin Carving takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Oct. 22, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. The event, for ages 1 to 14, includes a full-sized pumpkin for each child.
